 JESUS IS CALLING

Our help is in the name of the Lord;He knows those who are His.Child of God, your redeemer lives;He hasn't left you where he redeemed you;He knows the way is not safe so He is going before you.He won't redeem if he cannot preserve.You are actually His investment.He has invested so much into you only to let you slip away. You cost His His blood. 😭God is counting on you to let His glory be seen by all men.So you must be alive to serve His purpose.Serve the Lord with all gladness until others join you!They may call you names; you have the choice to listen 👂to the names they call you and become discouraged or you listen to the name God calls you and wax stronger. As humans, we may make you feel less a human being but dear, we are not the standard; CHRIST IS. Your maker calls you "My Very Own".🥰 Wow! Get up and forget about their insults and keep moving towards your father like the prodigal son did. God loves you.

Mark 10:49-50 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.Then they called the blind man, saying to him,“Be of good cheer.Rise,He is calling you.”And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

Jesus came mainly o call us unto God the Father.And Bartimaeus was not an exception even though he didn't look like someone God should invite unto himself. Jesus came to seek and find the sinner.The qualification to be called is none other but to be a sinner. In your attempt to rise anyone may make mockery of you but be mindful of His voice that is calling you.

Revelation 3:20 Behold,I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

In the journey of life,we turn to ascribe credit to our efforts when everything is well with us, forgetting God. Soon we realized that our efforts could not take us further,then we yearn to find the way to God. At that crossroad, some think God has left them because He is angry with them.No! But the true is God has always been after  you; He's been waiting for your U-TURN. God is nearer to you than you can imagine.

Hebrews 3:8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness.

God keeps calling His children.The scripture says that He is long-suffering wanting none to perish. Every day life is God's opportunity to us to find His purpose and fulfill it. He speaks to us in different ways:through dreams, situations, events etc. His ways are diverse;you only need to identify the way He speaks to you and act with prompt. Hardening the heart or postponing your salvation may lead to your destruction. When He prompts, just follow! At the end you shall see life.

Philippians 2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.

Names play a vital role in our survival in this life. And often it's not how good the name sounds but what the bearer of the name has achieved. A name therefore becomes important not because of its morphological structure but the pedigree of the name bearer. No wonder some applications can't be refused if they're endorsed by some personalities.Watch this! Though there are important names, there's only one that matters the most: JESUS.You can do away with others but for Him NO.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FATHERS ARE ABSENT

_Happy fathers day to all males! The prayer is that God will strengthen us to take up our responsibilities in transforming our lives and changing our surrunding._

*Judges 17:[6]In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.*

A quick glance through the book of Judges would teach us some great lessons and one of them is the vital role of a father in the life of the people of God, their spiritual life and relationships.

The book of Judges had experimented ungodliness or lewdness right after the death of Joshua. So the Bible has clearly stated that everyone does what pleases him or her because there was no king. A father is a leader not just in his home but in the society at a large extent. The basic role of a father is to lead those who look up to him to Christ and makes sure he maintains order. Fathers are disciplinarian. I know many children would not appreciate the presence of fathers at home and when it happens that they are absent, the 'everyone does what is right in his own eyes' becomes the norm, meanwhile it is a very complicated state though people think that we should live according to our impulses. The absence of fathers just like in the case of Joshua, has caused many damages in families and nations.

Fathers help keep our  focus on the needed tasks and give the necessary support for a fulfilled life. No society has ever made it without a father figure.

On this occasion of fathers day celebration,I pray that God will not leave us without a father. HAPPY FATHERS DAY! FATHERS, WE APPRECIATE YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK IN BRINGING ORDER INTO LIVES AND WHICHEVER PLACE YOU FIND YOURSELVES!

 MOTHERHOOD: A CALLING OR A CHOICE?: FOOD FOR THOUGHT

I am quick to state that motherhood does not appeal anymore. Motherhood today is considered as a curse as compared to the past which was regarded as a blessing. In the time of our grand parents or older generations every girl aspired to become a mother. Today, interrogate the little girl about what she aspires to become: "I want to become a doctor; I want to become a lawyer among the rest." What has changed? What were they told then and what are they told today? Motherhood, a calling or a choice? Motherhood no longer attracts and many ladies today would prefer to keep a boyfriend instead of aiming to marry. Motherhood is nothing worth a pursuit; academic achievements and career have been become top priorities of today girl. Worriedly I asked: "How did we all get here?" Sometime ago we all protested against homosexuality and lesbianism and we are still campaigning against such practices in our society. And I ask what is the difference? What is the difference between the one who practises homosexuality and the one who deliberately does not want to have a child? Having a child before graduating from the university or before attaining one's dreamed career is a curse. So we have all forms of abortions taking place: use of preservative, taking in of all kinds of pills. It seems we have become wiser than God? Shit! I have the impression that our elderly women are not telling us the truth? I was watching a birthday ceremony of a 106 year old woman recently on facebook and the interviewer asked her "What makes you happy at this age of yours?" She replied and said "Knowing God and my children". Wow! She might have gained some social or academic status but at that point they meant nothing to her anymore but the God and the family she devoted her life to. My own mother has never stepped into a class room and she is almost 70 years now with 7children and I believe that if same question is posed to her, her answer would not be different. Are you still thinking becoming a mother is illiterates' dream and that it will shut down your dream? Then I am sorry, you don't have a dream in the first place. Your motherhood can be a vehicle to arrive at your supposed dream. A dream after God's heart should give you peace and happiness and motherhood well lived will afford you and more. Yes, I hear many ladies say "for marriage I will marry and for children I will have them but after this academic qualifications, after this achievement, after this, after this". Listen, when you are in your late twenties and still talking like this understand that if God doesn't want you to make being a mother a priority he would not have placed an expiry date on child conception. 

I hereby celebrate all mothers; you have mothered your biological child or adopted or both, or and mentored other people's children, I salute you. Congratulations and happy Mothers Day!
