Generation of the Resurrection.
We started the teaching on THE MIRACLE OF THE NEW CREATION and we looked at (click on it for the message) THE NECESSITY OF THE NEW CREATION Which was the opening of this series, then we moved on to THE FIRST ADAM VERSES THE SECOND AND THIRD ADAM . Today we are look at generation of the resurrection and what is the new creation?On we move to discuss what I term as the Generation of the Resurrection.
John 12:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Here the Lord Jesus is speaking concerning His vicarious death and blood sacrifice on the cross when He says that when a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies it brings forth much fruit. This is very significant as it gives us an eye opener into the modus operandi of God as regarding Him making the new creation a reality through the death and the sacrifice of Jesus for the sin of mankind. We have to come to understand that the death of Jesus was only *a means to an end and not an end in itself. Romans 4:25 says that Christ was delivered for our offenses and raised to life for our justification. Glooowee. His death on the cross gave us the benefit of redemption, that is the forgiveness of sins through his blood but His resurrection gave us something more than gold. This is the legal benefit called justification.
Justification is when a man is acquitted and discharged from guilt and offence, its gravity notwithstanding, in the court of law. This means legally you are found NOT GUILTY. Before we were redeemed, we were found to be guilty of sin and needed someone to pay for penalty of sin on our behalf but the legality of justification says that we never sinned at all.
This is greater than redemption indeed. That means through the justification of the Spirit in the resurrection of Christ we were made as new type of men. A new brand or species that never existed before. This is the new creation of God. So Gods plan ultimate and consummate plan was to redeem us first of all and justify us on account of the resurrection of Christ in order to bring forth fruits or products of the redemption who are the many of sons of God today upon believing in His Name. These fruits are not just the redeemed but they are the consequence of the redemption.
Its either you are in Adam or you are in Christ. Looking at the life Adam and His generation lived under the Old Testament we could tell the life of the Man who is in Adam. We would know that the man who is in Adam is a sinner, unrighteous, subject to death, sickness, the forces of life and nature as it were, susceptible the Satan etc. What really then is the Man who is in Christ and what kind of life that does he live. What’s his uniqueness? We will unravel all these truths as we make steady progress.
Let me add this to make point two more clearer
Having read it, let’s continue from here on justification

These fruits are not just the redeemed but they are the consequence of the redemption.
These fruits are not just the redeemed but they are the consequence of the redemption. The death of God made the resurrection possible and more so the resurrection made the new creation a reality. Thus, the work of the new creation was actually finished in the resurrection and not on the cross. When Jesus it is finished on the cross what He meant was that the full price had been sufficiently paid for in His blood sacrifice on the blood. Remember he paid for the sins of the man who is in Adam but the new creation born from the resurrection has no sin nature in him for he must be redeemed. He has been re-gened from the resurrection. The new man in Christ is the product of the resurrection. The resurrection gave birth to him anew.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
This parallels what our senior brother in the Lord Peter says in the beautiful text of scripture above. He tells us that we have been born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Hallelujah
1 Peter 1:10-11
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care,
11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.
Peter again re-choes that with respect to the so great a salvation we have received in Christ, there is the sufferings of Christ and the glories that should follow. And we know that it was the resurrection that followed the death of Christ. That means packaged in the resurrection of Jesus was a kind of glory. The products of the resurrection which is the new creation man is that special kind of glory that follows the sufferings of Christ. We are His fruits. We are His glory. All of us who have been born again from the resurrection are the glories that followed.
Say I am the glory of Christ
Say I am born from the resurrection Say I am begotten from the dead
Now having clearly established our origin of new life and nature as from the resurrection of Christ let us go a step further to ascertain what actually is The New Creation and of what substance is he made up of
As soon as a person takes the step of faith and receives Christ into his heart, he is instantly born again by the law of the Spirit of Life. John 3:16 is a spiritual law which cannot be revoked. It is the sovereign Law of God Almighty in the universe that anyone at all who believes in Jesus SHOULD HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. This divine law of God in the Spirit is activated by faith the moment you confess the Lordship of Jesus. Thus you receive eternal life which is the nature of God into your spirit and become a bonafide child of God. You become a new creation preconditioned on your new position IN CHRIST.
The new creation means you become a brand new person, a species of being that never existed before. Suddenly all your past vanishes in a moment. This is the truth of Gods word. All you need to do is to respond to it with your faith and believe in what God says you are and believe you can do what He says you can do. But remember this recreation takes place spiritually in the inner man and not on the outward. Meanwhile do not forget that man is first of all a spirit being. So God works on him from inside out all the time. The real you is the spirit man which becomes a new person and receives eternal life, the nature of God. The life and nature of the old man is totally replaced and supplanted by the life and nature of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
In the beautiful text of scripture above our senior brother in the Lord Paul says that as long as you IN CHRIST old things are gone, BEHOLD all things about your life has become new. The word ”behold” is very instructive. It means to look, perceive or see. God wants you to SEE through faith in is His Word that you have become a new person. He wants you to see that all your sins are washed away and you are no longer the man you used to be. So the question is now that you have been born again what have you been beholding since? Anytime you read the Word what do you see by faith. Do you see the new man in Christ or you see something else. Remember the Word of God is a mirror which only gives you a reflection of your true self. See yourself in the mirror of the Word, appreciate what you see and that God for it.
When men do not get insight into what the Bible calls the new creature they relegate it to something God did not produce. What has confused a greater part of believers is the assumption that the born again experience is a change of behaviour or modification of character. Instead it is actually a CHANGE IN NATURE. A new creature is not a moralist. He is not a sincere unbeliever that has decided to live right by changing his behaviour. God does not just renovate or renew you when you come to Christ. You are actually reborn. Born again means resurrection from spiritual death.* Thus you die to sin and come alive to righteousness. You bear the image of the heavenly man who is the Lord from heaven. This we saw no long ago in 1Cor 15. Significant to note is the fact that pertaining to the new birth it is not only your sins that are forgiven but also your nature and life changes. When the characteristics of your divine life and nature is developed through spiritual maturity by the Word it then impacts your behaviour and way of life outwardly. That is when your mind is renewed to match up with the spiritual experience that has already taken place in your inner man.
For example, a 60 year old adult is not any more human than a day old baby. They are both having the same human life only that certain characteristics of the human life are yet to be developed in the baby. If we get perfect insight into this reality we will walk in tremendous power and victory. The new creature actually IS GOD TABERNACLED IN A HUMAN PERSON. Simply put he is GOD IN A MAN He is made of the same substance as Jesus. Jesus was born of the Word so is he. The new creature has the same content as Jesus. What cannot be found in Christ cannot be found in Him. Sickness, death, sadness, failure etc. Cannot be found in Christ and thus cannot be found in the new creation as well.
1 John 4:17 says as Jesus is presently so are we in this world. This is big for the religious mind to grasp but its the present truth of Gods word as pertaining the New Covenant. Embrace the reality today and say I believe in what the Word of God says and therefore I have what the word of God says I have. These are essentials matters of the faith. The kingdom of God to which you belong operates by faith and not by sight. And the only material for developing our faith is the Word of God. So go for the doubt-dissolving Word of God. Which will give you your true self-identity inChrist.
