FORSAKE ALL AND FOLLOW ME
BIBLE TEXT:
Mark 10:17-22
Galatians 5:19-21 (Sinful nature)
You can't follow without having fellowship. Fellowship in simple term means forsaking all and surrounding all to him. Meaning, you forsake all your sinful nature that prevent or hinder you to have fellowship with God. Then you put on the godly nature and surrounder your all to him in fellowship.
Let us consider something from our text. One day a man came and knelt before Jesus and asked him, " Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? " Then Jesus said do justice to the commandments as you know. The man replied, "Teacher, all the commandments I have observed from my youth". Jesus looked at the man, loved him and said "You Lack One thing ".
What does this mean? It means even though the man was observing all the commandment (following Jesus) but there was one thing the man was lacking or preventing him to enjoy eternal life in his fellowship with Jesus.
The same thing is happening in our generation as Christians. We see ourselves as followers of Christ, observing all the protocols of Christ but there is "One thing" may be hindering or preventing us to enjoy the blessings of God or eternal life.
That is why God is telling us this day that we should "Forsake all" and have complete fellowship with him.
When you read further, you will realise that forsaking all is not an easy task because when the man heard Jesus saying sell all (forsake all) you have, the man countenance fell and was Sorrowful. But I pray for you that the grace will found you to forsake all.
CONCLUSION :
May be you are practicing or into sinful nature that you see yourself that are enjoying life. No!
God is telling us this day that we should "forsake all and follow" carefully in our fellowship with him to enjoy eternal life. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Father I thank you for this day and your word. I pray that any sinful nature hidden in me that is preventing me to fellowship, Lord grant me the grace to forsake all and surrounder all to you in Jesus name. Amen!

We thank God for our lives Brethren. God bless us all for always feeding the Spirit with the Word of God. According to the Book of Mark, Jesus told Peter "to follow me and I will make Fishers of Men". According to Scripture Peter obeyed and followed Jesus Christ. He didn't just follow Christ oo,he left everything he had even His father. Beloved how many of us can boldly leave his or her family and belongings for Christ sake. It is not easy beloved but know that all things belong to God. If the rich knew that Jesus will ask him to sell all that he has(not half of his property but all),he wouldn't have approach Jesus Christ. It is very difficult as a wealthy person to sell out what you have and become poor person, it is not logic. You can't even stand the pressure of the society u live in. If u read further u will get to know the Richman left with sorrow. Jesus said," it will be difficult for a rich person to go to heaven than the poor. It doesn't mean that rich people won't enter Heaven oo. But what Jesus was trying to say was that,it is not easy to let go of sinful act due to that u can't enter into the Kingdom of God. Please if u are in a situation that will not allow u to enter the Kingdom of God ,please this message is for you. Forsake everything and follow Jesus . God bless you with wisdom ,Grace and knowledge Mr. Richard so that we will always feed our Soul with the Word of God. Amen.
